Hangar 593, RAAF Base, June 2023
Project Overview:

Grove Scaff was engaged by Axis Constructions to provide access for recladding above the roof of Hangar 593.
The Grove Scaff team erected 57 metres of aluminium quickstage scaffold staggered over the curved roof. Supporting towers were erected from the ground and through the roof sheets to support the trusses and provide safe access for the cladding crews. The scaffold build was completed over 4.5 days facilitating prompt completion of the cladding project.
No. 11 Squadron Maintenance Hangar, August 2022
Project Overview:
Access for modifications of the existing hangar by defence industry partner McMahons was required to enable critical maintenance processes on the P-8A Poseidon.

Grove Scaff provided a tube and fit scaffold solution to enable contractors to safely install a tail cut out and lift the hangar roof so that the P-8A Poseidon could move in and out of the hangar easily and safely. As a result, maintenance work on the Poisedon’s has been maintained in South Australia rather than sending the aircraft interstate or overseas.
The Grove Scaff team erected 50 metres x 3 metres of tube and fit scaffold inside the box truss to provide a safe work area. Scaffold was erected on the steel work and infilled with platforms and ply boards to ensure there were no gaps in this high risk area. This provided an enclosed and completely safe area for contractors to complete their work
The build was completed in 5 days which enabled modification works by Defence Industry Partners to be completed in a tight timeframe.
